The Exile of the Sons of Uisliu (3 of 8)

Publication Date: May 19, 2010

Chapter: English Literature During The Middle Ages

In my script, this comic was titled "Wet T-Shirt Contest." I think that makes me laugh more than the actual comic.

Seriously though, the story itself states that, when a son of Uisliu sings, "every cow or beast that heard [the song] gave two-third more milk." Two things strike me about this: first, and most obvious, is that it notes that more than just cows will give extra milk (hence the comic); second, it's strangely precise in its measurement. I'm not sure why that fascinates me, but the idea of a Seventh Century Celt with a measuring cup makes me laugh. Then again, I'm pretty easily amused.

Oh, and this is the first comic with Derdriu in it. She's pretty much crazy and I think I'm in love with her. Guess I'd better start packing those sack lunches for my exile.
