Doctor Faustus (16 of 19)

Publication Date: March 16, 2011

Chapter: English Literature in the Sixteenth Century

It occurs to me that I never said why I was mentioning the Seven Deadly Sins. Basically, it comes down to Faustus bitching about how his absolute power is lame, and he considers returning to the light side. Lucifer himself shows up and is all, "Yeah... no." He then parades human embodiments of the Sins before Faustus, presumably to demonstrate all that Hell has to offer.

In any event, no discussion of the Seven Deadly Sins is complete without a severed head in a box. So there ya go.
