Nymph Complaining for the Death of Her Fawn (1 of 2)

Publication Date: August 2, 2011

Chapter: English Literature in the Early Seventeenth Century

For a poem about a woman complaining about her fallen pet fawn, this poem is waaaaay too long. I'll admit, I'm not much of a pet person, so maybe I just have a hard time sympathizing. Still, in the Norton, this one poem spans almost four pages. It's a bit much just for "those bastards shot my fawn!"
